I will first introduce the Weyl sums and their applications to number theory, PDE and discrete harmonic analysis. Then I will talk  about the typical asymptotic bounds of Weyl sums in the sense of Lebesgue measure and Hausdorff dimension. Joint works with R. Baker, K. Bryce, J. Maynard and I. Shparlinski.
