课程内容简介(英文):
Computer Organization course is a core essential course for undergraduate students in computer science and information engineering. It provides a basic introduction to the fundamentals of current computer architecture. It demonstrates the relationship between the software and hardware and focuses on the foundational concepts and principles that are the basis for current computer system design. The main contents are computer arithmetic, processor design and pipelining, memory hierarchies, instruction sets, the fundamentals of assembly language, the design, performance, and significance of I/O systems, peripherals, the emerging architectures of multiprocessor systems, etc. By learning this course, students should understand the fundamental concepts and principles of current computer, the related knowledge, the working process of hardware and the relationship between the software and hardware.
